MASTERS Expanded Learning Program

Overview

FKBK’s MASTERS (Making After School Time Enriching, Rewarding, and Successful) Expanded Learning Program provides afterschool care for students in grades 1st-6th.

About MASTERS

The Center for Fathers and Families (CFF), a local nonprofit organization founded in 1994, developed the MASTERS (Making After School Time Enriching, Rewarding, and Successful) Expanded Learning Program in 2007. Partnerships with local districts and schools have created strong after school programs that provide students with:

  • Literacy and Academic Enrichment
  • Sports and Recreation
  • STEM and STEAM Enrichment Activities
  • Health and Wellness Education, including Healthy Behaviors
  • Hands on Mentoring

The MASTERS Expanded Learning Program begins serving students when the regular school day ends (including minimum days). The programs operate until 6:00 p.m. daily providing students with more than 15 hours of Expanded Learning programming every week. Our program is open every day the school is open.

Our Program is FREE to all students at FKBK. However, we have enrollment priorities.

These student groups will be given priority: students in foster care, students experiencing homelessness, English Language Learners, students on free and reduced lunch and students experiencing disengagement (defined as chronically absent, multiple missing assignments, and teacher/administration recommendation).

If there is extra space in the program, after a thorough recommendation and placement process, open slots will be prioritized based on parent/guardian’s application submission date and time.

At FKBK our projected enrollment is 120. Parents interested in our program can fill out an interest form through the following link:
